Oh, to enjoy life like a kid again!

Do you remember losing yourself in having fun? I loved that about being a kid. And, I love to see it in my five year old. When exactly do we decide to enjoy life a little less? To hold back the pure bliss of riding around town with the windows down? Sad, really. I want to help my daughter hold on to that excitement for life as long as she can! So, tell us, how do you bring out your inner child? Comment on this post for a chance to win a 91.5 WCIC t-shirt, a portable blanket great for summer picnics, and a CD from one of the artists you hear on the station! Dig deep and find that zeal once again!

I love to color with my kids. A bunch of coloring books, a million crayons, colored pencils, and my children sitting at a table or on the rug coloring together takes me back to when I was a kid and my mom would color with me.

I love to blow bubbles outside w/ my kids, and if it's raining we get the paints out, and go hog wild! Mommy uses her hands, the kids have been known to use arms, bellies and my blonde headed son even used his hair once...talk about fun, and then there's always a nice bubble bath for them to follow and we share our creations w/ daddy later, or give our pictures to friends and family to brighten their day!!!

Every time I spend time with my grandson, we dance, run, giggle, watch Disney movies, sing songs - anything he wants to do. I believe the Lord gave us the gift of grandchildren so that we are reminded of the joy of being a child.

When those great spring and summer days arrive it's fun to sit on the driveway with the colored chalk just drawing pictures with my sweet little neighbors...sometimes we try to do hopscotch.

I just love being silly with my girls. I have 2 girls ages 13 and 14. They are at the age where life is becoming "serious". It helps them to see that there is a fun side and not to look negatively at things. I think letting yourself be silly by singing, joking, making faces, etc. keeps you young and tends to let you see the brighter things in life. Fill yourself with God's view and not the enemies negative words. Helps me in that way anyway. It's OK to make a fool of yourself, in my opinion it's even healthy.

I can get lost in the laughter of a wrestling match or tickle-fest in nothing flat! Hearing the squeals & laughter of my children & feeling the younger ones pounce on me from behind is one of the greatest blessings there is for me as mom AND it brings me right back to my childhood of doing the same things with my brother!

Kickball. I had forgotten how fun that game really was until we played as a family in the backyard last weekend!
